What is this crap?

This CRAP Is the weather, that's what. I'm so very sick of the snow, and I know I'm not the only one. Not to say that I don't like the snow, but after months and months of it, I'm finally ready for the hot weather.

So what would I be doing right now if it was nice out right now and I didn't have to be stuck in school? Well I might be outside just relaxing in the sun, or maybe finally cleaning the dust off my bike and taking it for a ride around the neighborhood. I know my friends and I have been trying to plan a day for us all to get together at my house and go swimming in my pool, so that would certainly be worked in as a plan. I also like to draw and do artwork outside. It's rather nice in comparison to being stuck inside a dark space for a long while. It doesn't matter what, but anything would be more enjoyable.

All I know is that I'm ready for summer to start. so COME on weather, don't be such a square.

How Foolish

When I was about seven, I lived on the outskirts of Bend. We were living in a rental house at the time. the neighborhood was nice, and I had one really good friend in particular. We had many foolish adventures, but one in particular is funny to think back on.

The first was on a sunny day. We were playing outdoors, and my friend Krystal spotted a large black spider under the deck. It was so pretty that we just HAD to catch it. We ran inside and gathered all the tools we would need: Some string, a stick, a jar and some plastic bags. My mother noticed and asked us what we were doing. "We're trying to catch this pretty black spider with red on it's tummy!" I said. My mom ran outside, took the black widow spider off of my arm and squished it on the ground.

While it was very scary at the time, it's still really funny to think back on. And even more ironic: I've developed a large fear of spiders since then.

National Tartan Day

Ah Tartan day. Who doesn't know about National Tartan day? Well for those of you who don't ((because I sure didn't before the start of this class)) Let me explain some things:

TARTAN DAY
Tartan day is a celebration of the Scottish heritage. It's also the day the Declaration of Arbroath was signed in 1320. The current event originated in Canada in the 1980's. It's now celebrated in any place with people who have Scottish heritage. Now it's just known as the day filled with bagpipes, highland dancing, and other Scottish themed events. It's really an international holiday.
